- Gels, liquids, and non-aqueous serums are unlikely to clog pores and are best for oily skin or acne prone skin. They don’t stimulate oil production.
- Combination skin can use multiple products from gels in oily areas (usually the t-zone on the face) to cream on dry areas.
Check the ingredients before choosing skin care products
There are certain ingredients you should watch out for and avoid in your choice of skin care products. Avoid products that contain ingredients such as paraben, parfum, BHA, sulfates. These compounds may cause adverse skin reactions. Choosing skin care products that are naturally made have proven to be safe for all skin types.
Verify the Product safety before choosing skin care products
You should know if the product you are about to buy is safe to use on your skin. You can do a patch test by applying a little amount of the product on your skin and wait for a few hours. If you do not experience any adverse effect, then it is safe to use. You can also check for online reviews of any products you want to buy.
Know the price before choosing skin care products
This should not be the ultimate decision factor for your skin care choice. However, if you are on a tight budget this is an important factor. There are drug store products that are as effective as high-end products. You only have to do an extra work of looking thoroughly to find out which brands offer fantastic products at pocket-friendly prices.
