Wheat is the major source of vegetable protein in human foods, using greater protein content compared to other significant cereals such as maize (corn) or rice. No matter how the protein found in wheat may cause an abnormal reaction to an immune system causing allergies. If someone whose immune system is weak or when someone is allergic to wheat, then absorbs wheat then your system will discharge carcinogens, which subsequently causes many symptoms. Wheat allergy is avoidable when an individual who has wheat allergy averts eating wheat and change into other food items such as cereals, rice, fruits, veggies etc..

Causes of wheat allergy

Proteins within wheat are liable for inducing allergic reactions to the human entire body. These proteins aren’t just present in wheat but also in other wheat products like bread, rice, cereals etc.. Aside from these food items wheat proteins can also be found in ice cream, cosmetics, ketchup.

Following are the products that can cause wheat allergy.

  • Muffins
  • Bread, pasta
  • Dairy products
  • Soy sauce
  • Semolina
  • Beer
  • Breakfast cereals
  • Sauces and condiments
  • Beverages

  • Desserts like ice cream, pancake, cheesecakes

Wheat Allergy Symptoms

Someone who has wheat allergy may suffer from at least one of these symptoms. These signs may be caused instantly after swallowing wheat and its goods or it might take a couple of hours for your allergic reaction to happen.

  • Skin rash
  • Hives
  • Diarrhoea
  • Headache
  • Itchy eyes
  • Watery eyes
  • Redness of skin
  • Nasal congestion
  • Itching in mouth
  • Irritation in throat
  • Cramps
  • Vomiting
  • Anaphylaxis

Prevention of wheat allergy

Wheat is avoidable as long as you comply with a rigorous wheat diet. There are many alternatives to select from. Like Fresh fruits, veggies, beans, and unpackaged meats are healthier wheat-free foods. Any packaged food item marked “gluten-free” is also, by definition, without any wheat. You might even eat products made from different grains, such as corn, corn, quinoa, barley, barley, and rye.
