Economic hardship in Nigeria and other parts of Africa has strong-armed young and able-bodied men to settle for harsh options of greener pastures as they look abroad for greener pastures.

Since the development of the internet in Nigeria and other parts of the black continent, male youths have exploited the online dating opportunities to hook up with elderly and lonely white women who they technically lure into scam in the name of romance.
Over time, these women have been reported to be vulnerable due to their apparent neglect by other men in their societies who opt for the energetic and younger women who they find s*xually appealing and fascinating.
Nigerian youths have painstakingly settled for the neglected women who venture into long distance relationships to shy away from the reality of their present predicaments. After winning their hearts and trust through an organized fake system of ‘sugar-coated words’, these elderly women are milked intelligently by the young men. Research has shown that the participants in this online romance are mostly internet fraudsters popularly called ‘Yahoo Bois’.
The women are made to wire money at regular or irregular intervals and could be tied down in marriage for smooth visa processes.
