All the friends you went to campus with, are happily married.
You were a bridesmaid in a couple of them and every other time they throw an anniversary, you and bae are always invited. But Alas! There seem to be no wedding bells for you any time soon.
Here are some of the reasons he’s not walking you down the aisle anytime soon.
1. He’s a broke ass nigga.
He isn’t making much for a living to even dream of a lavish wedding.
2. He is too busy.
The organization he works for takes much of his time sending him abroad often. He is ever flying in and out of the country to do business.
3. He finally found his soulmate.
You were just a by-the-way; someone who helped him kill time, nothing more.
4. It’s never crossed his mind.
The fact that you moved in together and he is footing the bills is much more than you asking him to marry you. What for?
5. He’s married already.
How can he walk down the aisle again when he has a woman already he wedded a few years ago?
6. Religious barrier.
He wants you to convert to Islam, so you can marry in peace. But that’s the last thought that ever crossed your mind.
7. It’s just too soon.
He wants to know you in out like the back of his hand. In the process of waiting he may slip away.
8. He is up for something too simple.
If you go insisting he might opt to drop by the AG’s office and legalize your wedding, what difference does it make?
9. Family issues.
Your in-laws can’t stand the sight of you cause you hail from a certain tribe. How does he even settle down with you when there is nothing but negative energy all around you?
