How To Use Watermelon As A Medicine

If we should all guess that summer fruit that we all crave for, which we consume to refresh us and hydrate us even better than water? The one thing that comes to mind is watermelon! Yes, it is the perfect fruit during those hot days which will help you stand the heat and avoid all those calories from greasy and sugary foods, while at the same time keeping you full.

So, why not give yourself the chance to enjoy some fruit which will help you lose weight and also act as a medicine to your body? For these and many other reasons, we are here to help you find out the variety of watermelon uses, which will improve your well being.
While serving watermelon on your table, we strongly recommend you not to throw away the seeds because those have nutrients also, which your body will find beneficial. You can either eat the watermelon or you can put it in a blender and make yourself a refreshing juice.

Since fruit is not to be mixed with any other type of food because it passes through your stomach quickly and needs certain enzymes that will digest it, you might consider a 1 day detox, and eat only watermelon for the whole day.
In which case can I use watermelon as a medicine? The following will give you an answer to that question.
Kidney Cleanse- Since watermelon contains 90% water, it works as an amazing diuretic, and as we have mentioned before, a 1 day watermelon detox, will help your kidneys to flush out all the toxins.
Liver Cleanse- If you drink four glasses of watermelon juice a day, it will help you cleanse the water material called ammonia from your liver. Therefore you will get rid of the unhealthy clogs through your urine.
Colon Cleanse- The main issue of those who have problems with their colon is the fact that they are and feel dehydrated all the time. The watermelon will replace that feeling and will nourish your body.
To fight constipation- One of the best remedies for constipation is the great amount of fiber in watermelon. It will boost your metabolism and give you a feeling of lightness.
Skin pimples- By placing a watermelon on your acne, the place will stay clean and get rid of bacteria in an easy and fast way.
Skin fungus- Watermelons are so efficient against skin fungus, because of their anti viral and antibacterial properties. Repeating the same procedure as with the skin pimples, that is placing a piece or rubbing a piece of watermelon on the infected place will make miracles for you.
Edema- Just drink a watermelon juice in the morning and you will be amazed by its diuretic properties.
Gout- The alkaline content of the watermelon makes you flush out uric crystals easily, which might be the cause of gout pain.
Diabetes– The low content of sugar in the watermelon will satisfy your sugar cravings and at the same time it will help your deal with diabetes easier.
Heartburn- Watermelon works well on preventing and easing the pain of heartburn.
High Blood Pressure- The amino acids that the watermelon contains will improve your circulation, relax the arteries and lower your blood pressure.
Muscle Soreness- It is the high content of citrulline and amino acids which will relieve and prevent your muscle pain.
